An effective shortcut to fitness I recently discovered is the Debbie Siebers Slim in 6 Workout. Also known as SI6, this proven 6-week program has brought excellent results for many people. If you’re a woman who has tried other fitness programs and failed to reduce and tone your hips, butt, and thighs to the extent you’d like to, SI6 could be just what you need.
I haven’t undertaken the program myself, nor do I know anyone who has. However, reading about the Slim in 6 results many women are getting, it’s hard not to be impressed. And the before and after pics speak for themselves. In fact, they’re a large part of the reason I’m writing this review.

Who is Slim in 6 For?
Slim in 6 is for anyone who is tired of hit-and-miss weight loss/fitness programs that promise the world but fail to deliver because they take too long to implement or are too strenuous.
Ideal for those looking for an easy to learn and follow program which, while simple, is never the less very effective, with SI6 you can expect visible changes in as little as six weeks. While the workouts are quite challenging, there’s the option of doing easier, modified versions of the moves. This will give you a less intense and lower impact workout, suitable even for those who have not exercised before.
Created and led by well-known celebrity fitness trainer Debbie Siebers, famous for workouts that focus on the body areas many females need extra help with, with SI6 you can expect excellent results. Some women who have completed the program claim it to be by far the best they have undertaken for targeting their problem areas. Though effective for all, with its focus on the lower body, pear-shaped ladies in particular rave about the changes to their body shape SI6 delivers.
A word of warning, though, the workouts tend to be repetitive. This means they can become boring for people who like a lot of variety. If you can muster the dedication to stick with it for six weeks, which really isn’t that long at all, you will be very pleased you did.
What Style is the SI6 Program?
Debbie Siebers Slim in 6 is a mixture of mid-intensity and high-impact cardio based workouts, low-impact moves and resistance training.
Utilizing so-called “Slim Training,” this enabled Debbie to lose 40 pounds when other methods failed. It has been the mainstay of all of her training in the 20 plus subsequent years. The reason for its success is that exercise is done predominantly at a mid to high level of intensity, so more calories are burned.
By following the SI6 program as outlined and making any necessary dietary changes, you will decrease your body fat, tone your muscles and increase your strength and endurance level.
Slim in 6 Schedule
The Slim in 6 Schedule is quite straightforward. You work out for six days a week; then you get a rest day. Everything needed to complete the program is in the box. We will look at the components below.
The program has three main workouts. You will start with the first one, progressing to the other two when your fitness allows. The time frame for this will vary from person to person. As a rough guide, count on about 4 to 7 days on DVD 1, Slim in 6 Start it Up, 2 1/2 to 3 weeks on DVD 2, Slim in 6 Ramp it Up, before progressing to DVD 3, Slim in 6 Burn it up, for the duration of the course.
There are also 3 bonus workouts.
The Slim in 6 DVD set comprises 6 workouts as follows:
1) Slim in 6 Start it Up – Approximately 30 minutes long including a 5-minute warm-up, a quick ab workout and stretches to cool down, Start it Up teaches you the basic moves used throughout and gets the fat-burning and weight loss process underway.
Slim in 6 Start it Up focuses on body weight exercises. Some of the exercises you will be doing include Lunges, Push-Ups, Squats and other tried and proven exercises. Debbie, along with two other trainers, demonstrates the moves. If you find them too tough, there’s the option of doing a modified version.
2) Slim in 6 Ramp it Up – A more intense 45-minute long workout that burns extra calories, Ramp it Up targets and sculpts problem areas including the hips, thighs, and abs, using the resistance band that comes as part of the SI6 package.
Exercises included in Slim in 6 Ramp it Up are Lunges, Plies, Squats and Standing Oblique Crunches. There is also floor work, yoga and stretching exercises aimed at lengthening and streamlining the muscles.
3) Slim in 6 Burn it Up – Slim in 6 Burn it Up is a diverse, advanced level total-body workout that takes a little under an hour to complete. Burning more calories and fat than the other workouts, it takes muscle sculpting to the next level.
Starting with Squats mixed with kicks to the front, back, and sides, the workout then progresses to kickboxing. Other moves in Burn it Up include Jumping Jacks, punches, standing ab exercises and jogging.
4) Slim & 6 Pack
The first of the three bonus DVDs that come with SI6, as its name suggests, the focus of Slim & 6 Pack is the abs. Of 10 minutes duration, it targets the entire midsection including the abs, obliques and notoriously hard-to-shift love handles. Exercises you will do include Crunches, Reverse Crunches, Side Crunches and more.
5) Slim & Limber
Bonus DVD 2, Slim & Limber, is a 10-minute session with a focus on stretches which are mainly floor-based. It zeros in on the legs, including the quads, hamstrings, and inner thighs. Your shoulders, waist, and neck, will also be targeted. Along with being energizing, increasing flexibility and providing gentle toning, stretching is excellent for helping to make the muscles more limber and less susceptible to injury.
6) Cardio Core! Express
Also 10 minutes long, the last of the bonus DVDs included in the BeachBody Slim in 6 workout is Cardio Core! Express. Targeting the core and helping to improve posture, as with the other two bonus DVDs, this one can be done either alone or in conjunction with the main workouts.

Most of us have busy lives, so when researching new exercise programs, it’s natural that we look for those that bring not just quick results, but reliable results.
